Grey Fox Capital is a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm based in Northeast Ohio. We acquire, build, and operate our own communities, which means the people who work here see a project through rather than handing it across a company line. If you want ownership of your work and a short distance between a decision and its result, this is a good place to be.

Grey Fox Capital – Asset Manager – Independence, OH (On-site)

Full-time · On-site · Independence, Ohio · Asset Management

Grey Fox Capital is seeking an Asset Manager to own the performance of a portfolio of multifamily, build-to-rent, and value-add communities across Ohio and Florida. This role sits at the center of the platform: you will work directly with our development, acquisitions, and Foxhaus Residential property management teams, and you will be accountable for whether each asset performs the way it was underwritten.

This is a hands-on position based at our Independence, Ohio office, with regular travel to communities in the portfolio. It suits someone who wants to see their decisions land in the field rather than stay in a model.

What you’ll do

  • Own the annual business plan, operating budget, and capital plan for each asset in your portfolio, and report performance against the original underwriting.
  • Partner with on-site and regional property management on pricing, leasing velocity, renewal strategy, delinquency, and expense control.
  • Scope, price, and sequence value-add renovation programs, coordinating turn schedules with leasing so completed units reach the market as demand arrives.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly ownership and investor reporting, including variance analysis and recommended corrective action.
  • Support acquisitions with underwriting review, due diligence, and operational transition planning for new assets.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, insurance brokers, tax consultants, and third-party vendors; track loan covenants and reporting deadlines.
  • Evaluate hold, refinance, and disposition scenarios and bring recommendations to ownership.

What you bring

  • Three or more years in multifamily asset management, real estate private equity, commercial brokerage, or senior property operations.
  • Fluency with property-level financials: rent rolls, operating statements, budgets, and cash flow models. Strong Excel skills are required.
  • Experience with Yardi, RentCafe, or comparable property management software preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Clear written communication and the judgment to raise a problem early rather than manage around it.
  • Willingness to travel to communities in Ohio and Florida as the portfolio requires.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits details are shared during the interview process.

Foxhaus Residential – Maintenance Technician – Cleveland, OH (On-site)

Full-time · On-site · Cleveland, Ohio · Foxhaus Residential/Shorehaus Lofts

Foxhaus Residential, the property management arm of Grey Fox Capital, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for Shorehaus Lofts. You will be the person residents count on when something stops working, and the person who keeps the building from generating those calls in the first place.

Our communities include historic buildings with modern systems, so the work spans everyday service requests, unit turns, and preventive maintenance on building equipment. You will work alongside the community manager and report to the Property and Operations Director.

What you’ll do

  • Complete resident work orders across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, paint, carpentry, and general repair.
  • Perform unit turns to company standard and on schedule, coordinating with vendors where a trade license is required.
  • Run preventive maintenance on building systems, rooftop HVAC equipment, common areas, and amenity spaces.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls on a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Document every work order in the maintenance system, track parts and inventory, and flag recurring issues that need a permanent fix.
  • Keep grounds, corridors, and shared spaces safe, clean, and ready to show.

What you bring

  • Two or more years of apartment, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. EPA Section 608 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Your own basic hand tools, the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in mechanical spaces.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Comfort working in occupied homes and communicating clearly and courteously with residents.
  • Availability for on-call rotation, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefit details are shared during the interview process.
