As managing director of financial services, Ryan Sommers identifies, secures and manages private and public financing opportunities for business expansion projects and real estate development.

Ryan is currently managing a team responsible for 40+ projects throughout the country and $4 billion in development value, including $650 million in public financing for public-private partnerships. Current and past projects include site selection and incentives for Fortune 500 companies, strategic advisory for an NFL team and an MLB team, incentives and TIF structuring for mall redevelopments, and e-commerce distribution and fulfillment centers — plus notable Cleveland-area projects: 55 Public Square, Geauga Lake, City Club Cleveland Apartments, Van Aken District, Top of the Hill, Union Central (Cincinnati), Playhouse Square Lumen Tower, Terminal Tower, Church and State, The National (Dallas), and The Bowery (Akron).

Ryan is integrally involved in projects utilizing historic tax credits, tax increment bond financing, EB-5 debt, NMTCs, sale-leasebacks, tax-exempt financing, infrastructure grants, mezzanine debt, PACE, and private equity placements.
